Tongliao Airport
Tongliao Airport is located in the southwestern suburbs of the Horqin District of Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, 11 kilometers from the city center. It is a 4C level domestic branch airport in China. The terminal building of Tongliao Airport covers an area of 11,579 square meters and has 3 boarding bridges; the apron has 11 parking positions, including 1 B-class position and 10 C-class positions; the asphalt runway is 2,700 meters long and 45 meters wide, with 3 vertical connecting roads, capable of accommodating aircraft below the A321 and B737-800 models.
With the opening up of Tongliao City and the rapid development of the social economy, the original level of Tongliao Airport can no longer meet the needs of local economic development. Therefore, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the local government of Tongliao are expanding the airport. The project includes extending and widening the runway, expanding the apron, installing navigation lights, communication and navigation equipment, fire protection facilities, and fencing. The construction of the utility tunnel and ancillary works (drainage, fire protection, ventilation, weak electricity, fire alarm, information monitoring and control).
