Yichang Fifth People's Hospital
Yichang City Fifth People's Hospital is a public second-class institution that is patient-centered, safety-oriented, and quality-focused, integrating medical treatment, rescue, prevention, health care, rehabilitation, schistosomiasis diagnosis and treatment, occupational health examination, clinical teaching, and scientific research.
The hospital was established in 1969. In December 1996, Yichang City Schistosomiasis Prevention Hospital was transferred to Xiaoting District, merging with Xiaoting Hospital to form Yichang City Schistosomiasis Prevention Hospital and Xiaoting District People's Hospital. In 2000, it was renamed Yichang City Fifth People's Hospital and Yichang City Schistosomiasis Prevention Hospital. In 2008, it added the sign of Xiaoting District People's Hospital, implementing a management mechanism of one leadership team and three signs.
The hospital is located at No. 38 Zhengda Road, Xiaoting District, Yichang City, covering an area of 54.15 acres, with a certified bed capacity of 400 and 300 beds actually open. The hospital has 341 staff members, including 33 with senior professional titles, 118 with intermediate professional titles, and 4 with master's degrees. There are currently 41 departments, including 24 functional departments, 10 clinical departments, 6 medical technology departments, 1 auxiliary department, 1 branch hospital, and 1 Community health service center. The schistosomiasis department and rehabilitation department are the hospital's advantageous and key specialties.
The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment, reasonably configured, and scientifically managed. It has Siemens spiral CT, Hitachi fully automatic biochemical analyzers, GE color Doppler ultrasound diagnostic systems, Mindray anesthesia workstations, Olympus electronic bronchoscopes, thoracoscopes, gastroscopes, colonoscopes, fiber cholangioscopes, digital X-ray systems, mobile flat-panel C-arm X-ray machines, pulmonary function testers, dual-energy X-ray bone density meters, and other advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment.
