Tianjin Third Central Hospital
Tianjin Third Central Hospital was established in 1957. It is a comprehensive tertiary hospital that integrates medical care, education, research, prevention, and management. It is one of the five municipal medical centers in Tianjin, a clinical college of Tianjin Medical University, and an affiliated hospital of Nankai University.
The hospital currently occupies an area of 59,000 square meters, with a building area of 93,000 square meters and a total of 1,100 beds. The new expansion of the Dongli campus covers an area of 86,000 square meters, with a new building area of 260,500 square meters, and plans to have a total of 1,200 beds. The hospital currently has 36 clinical and medical technical departments, including the National Clinical Nutrition Quality Control Center, National Key Clinical Specialty (Nursing Department), and three quality control centers for critical care, nursing, and clinical nutrition in Tianjin. There are 7 key and cultivated medical disciplines in Tianjin, including critical care (extracorporeal life support), hepatobiliary, nursing, nutrition, laboratory, anesthesia, and imaging intervention. Among them, critical care (extracorporeal life support) has been approved as the "Tianjin ECMO Treatment and Training Base."
