DIY Home Solar Installation – 2 year payback- Part 2 PV Grounding

This is the second video in a series of videos I plan on doing of the grid tie solar system I am installing on my new house. 80′ MC4 8AWG Wire:

100′ 10/3 AC wire:

Roof Flashing (drilled single hole in for lag bolt):

Misc Parts from Home Depot:
- 20X 3/8″ Bolt with flat washer and lock nut (used to attach rails to L foot)

- 20ft 10AWG Solid Copper wire

- 25FT THHN 10AWG Green Wire (ground from rails to inverter, per city code)

- 10 Solid Copper 6-14AWG grounding lugs (2 per package)

- 2 tubes Roof cement/glue

I was able to get sales/deals on almost everything listed. For instance, my inverter only cost me $600 on a bid, so I saved $400 there.
